Your mobile «grindagut» is an app that puts the history of Kvinnherad right into your hands.
Combining video and audio, GPS map information with the rich knowledge from popular science books, local sources and online resources, «Grindagut» gives you new insight in the history of Kvinnherad.
When travelling through the region, «Grindagut» presents stories from the cultural and natural history of Kvinnherad based on your location. From the hidden stories of how the landscape formed, to the history of the culture and the people who lived there, «Grindagut» adds a new layer of insight into your journey, all in the convenience of your smart device. The «Grindagut» app is a new digital form for publishing developed by the University Museum/University of Bergen and the Centre for New Media / Bergen University College, in collaboration with Folgefonna National Park Centre and Kvinnheard Tourist Information.
The app draws on material from the books «Natural History and Cultural History Pathfinder, Hordaland County» and «Folgefonna and the Fjord Area», local sources and from the web site www.grind.no.
